PS3 Closing In On 360 Sales

Sony and Microsoft have released their worldwide console shipment numbers. Microsoft have shipped 41.7 million Xbox 360s globally, as compared to Sony's 38.1 million PS3s. If both companies weren't launching motion control hardware this year, it'd be an easy guess to say the PS3 will likely pass the 360 by this time next year.

SOCOM 4 Not Releasing This Year

SOCOM 4 looked great from the early videos we saw, and was a big game for the launch window of PlayStation Move towards the end of this year. However, Sony have seen fit to push the game into 2011, meaning if I want a hardcore game for Move this year, I have to re-play Heavy Rain or buy a second copy of Resident Evil 5 because Capcom can't figure out how to patch an older version of an otherwise identical game.

Uncharted 2 v1.09 Released

A new patch for Uncharted 2 has been released. The update includes some exploit fixes, as well as tweaks for potential future DLC. The biggest change is that Naughty Dog have added an easier way for them to tweak the cash reward values in multiplayer modes, and the cash-per-kill in Elimination mode is up to $750 now. They also rebalanced the cash rewards in Objectives mode.
