I just recently got an iPhone 3G for my birthday =), and it made me think a little more about the new MGS game coming out for the iPod Touch/iPhone. To tell you the truth, i'm not that excited about the game. I love the fun and simple arcade games the app store currently provides but the move to more hardcore games kinda bothers me. The iPhone/iPod touch is becoming the Wii of the hand-held gaming industry. It is making a lot of money and developers are flocking to the hardware. I love Apple and I think that it was a very smart move by them but it is the PSP and the DS's im worried about. In my opinion a new MGS would have been better suited for the PSP. But I don't know maybe I'm blowing the situation a little out of proportion but i can just see it coming. Maybe the new MGS game will even be sort of arcade like and not to complicated...who knows.
What do you guys think?!?!

@Dana Olson: thanks for sharing that link, not seen it before.
I have an iPhone as well but not really that impressed with the gaming capabilities. The games itself looks very nice but the controls will always be an issue, using touch for all games is never going to work really.
The iPhone will never be a PSP or DS with the lack of a proper controller/buttons.
If I where Apple I would make a portable gaming device like the PSP or DS, they already have devs making games and the App Store. Doesn't hurt to have the ability to build in an iPod there as well.

@Ash: ya that's what bothers me...i dont think Apple will make a portable gaming device because to them the iPhone/iPod Touch is.

That trailer makes the game look bad to me. Looks like MGS Wii edition.
