Bought the Blu-Ray today, watched it, remembered why it was the best film I saw last year. Fantastic. Redeemed my digital copy through the PS Store, intrigued by the means at which this was accomplished and that I was able to redeem the copy weeks after it supposedly expired.
Also, reminded of how shitty blu-ray load times are. Took forever to copy the psp copy, now I'm ripping the God of War demo at phantasmagorically slow speeds.

I enjoyed District 9 but by the end I felt like it was not so special that it deserved the amount of praise it has been receiving. Good, just not great.

@Josh Rai: I loved the concept and the idea of the movie, but the main character was so detestable that I couldn't really enjoy it too much. Which is a pity, because the story was very well told.

@Laurie: I loved Wikus. I felt that he was a realistic character.

the main character was a symbol for humanity. that's why it's natural to hate him.

I kinda think District 9 was better then avatar. I was laughing so much when they first show Wikus, he is very different to other characters but i think thats why District 9 has its uniqueness.
I have heard it is good, but I don't feel like watching the first eight.
