So, today was a fantastic day. It was Ihop Pancake day, which meant a free stack of Pancakes at Ihop, which is a substantial amount. After that great early dinner, I played a few (30) rounds of Tekken 6 with my friend who was gracious enough to hang out with me. I think I'm going to end up buying it solely for the Alisa character, that Moe Android really tugs at my heartstrings.
Weather today was beautiful... Drizzly overcast shifting to torrent by the afternoon. So yeah... I bought Heavy Rain on a day of heavy rain.
I'm a few minutes back from that precarious drive to Target, and am granted the time to post this by a 226mb title update for Heavy Rain. Hopefully to fix some animation issues seen in that forever infamous "Press X to Jason" trailer.
Downlaod's almost finished, I'll post this and comment my thoughts on the game later on. Hoping the game opens with the delicious Madison Paige.

My copy has not arrived yet, but hopefully tomorrow. Sucks about the stuttering. I haven't read any reviews to find if it was a reported issue, but perhaps they will fix it later if it's a universal issue with yet another patch..
It seems a lot of people were buying Heavy Rain today while it was actually raining, at least according to my limited world view (Twitter, basically).

The downpour, combined with all the melting snow really made last night a scary experience. I am hesitant to mention this, but I narrowly- By less that a foot- avoided a horrible crash on the way home. A good overture to the emotionally gripping game. And after 3 scenes in a row of heavy shit, I had to put it down last night after a few hours. I really like this one.

I can't wait to jump into it. I've avoided reading about it too much until then but I'm glad its not letting you down.
Looks great, plays well, in general, but there's audio stuttering as well as for the animations. Not inexcusably bad, but unpleasant when the game is supposed to be so serious but the characters are acting stupid.
And some of these actors are atrocious...
