EA Redwood Shores has officially been rebranded in the form of Visceral Games.
Execs over at Electronic Arts hope that the name "Visceral" will better serve to describe the type of games that this branch is known for creating and the type of experience they're aiming for.
Visceral Games' most recent hit, Dead Space, took the survival horror genre to the next level, creating an atmosphere that not only caused gamers to feel frightened for their virtual lives, but caused a strong sense of urgency as every little sound in the air ducts could be a potential baddie.
With Dead Space and the recently released Godfather II, we can only expect more from this stunning group of visionaries this generation.
