So, today was a fantastic day. It was Ihop Pancake day, which meant a free stack of Pancakes at Ihop, which is a substantial amount. After that great early dinner, I played a few (30) rounds of Tekken 6 with my friend who was gracious enough to hang out with me. I think I'm going to end up buying it solely for the Alisa character, that Moe Android really tugs at my heartstrings.

Bought the Blu-Ray today, watched it, remembered why it was the best film I saw last year. Fantastic. Redeemed my digital copy through the PS Store, intrigued by the means at which this was accomplished and that I was able to redeem the copy weeks after it supposedly expired.

Earlier today my dear television shat the bed. I had known him well- From his humble beginnings as a 27", $150 dollar steal (ostensibly), through its faithful years, when lines appeared along the top of the screen, and now- With the screen only showing an thin horizontal line scintillating with color, a condensation of all the video that should fill the entire screen.

Borrowed my friend's copy of Uncharted 2 today, started playing... And these bastards made the first level a stealth based heist level. It took 25 minutes before they fell back on a tired, derivative, misplaced game mechanic. Goddamnit, this is no fun. I should just shoot myself in the foot and watch national treasure.

A neat little Half Life 2 mod was released last week, called, "Neotokyo." At the very least, it's intriguing. A mix of classic (endlessly frustrating) Counterstrike gameplay with a Ghost in the Shell-inspired aesthetic. And it's free, as long as you have a Source game on Steam.
