Nashville's Flooding

I don't know if any of you have heard, but Middle Tennessee was pummeled with storms this past weekend, and they brought massive flooding. Okay, this is definitely an issue. I know I have bee having major problems with my controllers connecting to the PS3. I just had to turn my system off and back on, FIVE TIMES, before any controller would connect.

I WANT To Love It...

...I really do, especially since I love the series, but PixelJunk Monsters frustrates me beyond belief. I'm horrible at it. I've never been past the second level (you know, the one after the training level!), because I couldn't "rainbow" it, or whatever that's called. I fired it up today, to try for a trophy challenge. I tried the very first one, got frustrated, and shut it off.

I've never really been the type to cycle through games, trading them in after a short time to take advantage of high trade-in values. I understand the practice, but have instead generally been careful in what games I purchased, assuming I'd be adding them to my (rather permanent) library.

My PS3 is having a problem, and it started last night. I can start it up and do everything fine, for about 45 mins. I've been playing CoD:WaW, and after about 3 matches, it locks up on the loading screen (my guess being, as soon as it has to access the disc again).

I work at a theater and, in the last 2 hours, we have had three reports of theft. First, a woman found her car broken into and something stolen. Not 5 minutes after the cops left from dealing with that, an employee found her window busted out and her purse gone. We had some employees walk the parking lot, checking for broken windows, while waiting for the cops to return, and found none. However...

So, a few weeks ago, my wife and I took a week-long vacation. My buddy Dozer and his wife drove down from Michigan to join us. It was a 2-year wedding anniversary celebration for both couples. Dozer and his wife got married a few weeks before us, and he drove down to be the best man in my wedding.

As A.D.Olson said in his impressions, Dead Space isn't scary, per se, but it does deliver creepiness in spades. If you're looking to be creeped out in a way that's fun, and still be able to notice how freakin' amazing the game looks, and how badass your weapons are, definitely try it out.
