Well, tonight my wife, who has never ever played or shown an interest in playing a shooter, or any online or first-person game for that matter, asked if she could try MAG. She did the tutorial mission twice, and then jumped online. I watched her get her first kill, and then got taken out. She then laughed and said "it's kinda fun... Uh oh, I'm hooked."

So, by now, Soundgarden fans probably already know that Chris Cornell has announced the band is making a comeback. That's all we know so far; who will be in the band hasn't been announced. Matt is still with Pearl Jam, so it should be interesting to see what happens...

So I've played Borderlands for about.. Hmm, let's see. It arrived at 6:30, I stopped at 12:30, and I had about a 45-minute break to watch Co-Op while I ate a pizza dinner. I'll just say 5 hours. My character is at level 10 or 11, I forget. I've done a bunch of little quests. I've played online and offline.

So I had an old 12" sub and an Alpine power amp kicking around... My buddy gave it to me a while ago to put in my car, but I'd been too lazy/poor to get around to it. While unpacking the stuff in the basement (prepping for the drums) I re-discovered the duo and the thought occurred to me: if I rigged it up as a decent bass amp, I wouldn't need to buy one, and I'd been that much closer to having...

Starting over

I decided to start Batman Arkham Asylum over from the start because I had been playing through on easy mode to get that silver trophy. But, when looking at Josh's trophy list, I saw he got both silvers for completing the game in normal and easy modes at the same time... So now I lost a few hours of play, for nothing.

So, since I moved and now work from home, my Internet speeds have been utter garbage. Sometimes I'd be able to download files at about 600KB/sec, but it is very rare. I normally peaked at about 100-150KB/sec. I finally got fed up today and did something about it.

OK, you probably already know this, but big corporations don't really give a shit about you or your family. Did you order a couch in May, and have it not show up even still at the end of July, with no definitive date of arrival? Or maybe your days-old fridge gave up the ghost? Chances are, you've had or will have these types of problems if you buy from Sears Canada.

So, the wife and I bought a bigger, less expensive home. We were leaving our old city and moving to a smaller town. We left behind all of our appliances, and we have not had proper couches since when we first got ferrets. But, we discovered a couch in the Sears catalog that seemed like it would work rather well for ferret owners.
