Just a few short days after the details leaked, Gearbox have confirmed the fourth DLC add-on for Borderlands will be released Claptrap's New Robot Revolution. The add-on will put players in the middle of a civil war between Hyperion armadas and an army of homicidal Claptraps. It adds over 20 additional missions, new enemies, new boss fights, ten additional skillpoints, and 3 additional backpack slots. Also, Ninja Assassin Claptraps weilding nunchuks. Available next month. Sold.

So, Gearbox released a new patch for the PC version of Borderlands, and one guy with too much time on his hands started poking around in the files. He found a ton of details about the next Borderlands DLC pack, right down to major story spoilers, enemies, even the number of new quests. Suffice it to say that I didn't read it all, as I like surprises, but Gearbox have told IGN that "it's like reading a draft of a script for a movie that hasn't even been announced yet, let alone launched - yeah you might learn something, but it's not the real thing and it could just drive you crazy thinking about it." Mhmm.

A new and final piece of the BioShock 2 single-player story has been announced by 2K today. The add-on, called Minerva's Den, will add new locations, new characters, a new type of Big Daddy, as well as new plasmids and weapons. This piece will feature the player teaming up with Dr. Tenenbaum to "unravel a dictator's stranglehold on a key district in the distinctive city under the sea." No pricing is available at this time, but the DLC will release in the fall.

Dubbed The Last Chapter, the pack will add three new stages, a new story ending, new soundtrack, new challenges, new trophies, and a more challenging difficulty mode.

So, earlier today I finally decided to play BioShock 2 now that I got my Borderlands and Nier platinums packed away... I launch the game, get prompted to install patch v1.01, do that, then I sit through the install, and then I decided not to play, and quit the game until later.
So, I just started it up to play this evening, and bam, another patch. It's about 12MB or so, v1.02, and it adds some new trophies that talk about Protector Trials. If you ask me, it seems some DLC is on the horizon.

Sony just announced that next Tuesday, Fat Princess patch v1.06 will be released. It will include co-operative play for up to four players on one console in both online and offline modes. There is also going to be clan tag support and password-protected private matches.
On top of this, a new DLC pack was announced. For $4.99, you'll get three additional character classes: Ninjas, Pirates, and Giants.
Guess I'll finally grab it when the PlayStation Plus discount arrives.

Rockstar announced today that on June 22nd, Red Dead Redemption will be getting a free four-player co-op add-on. The Outlaws To The End Co-Op Mission Pack will add six new co-op missions, as well as new co-op challenges, bonus multiplayer XP rewards, and extra trophies.

Any hope for reasonably-priced DLC sticking around has gone right out the window, as Modern Warfare 2's Stimulus Pack - a map pack with a handful of new maps - has shattered PSN records. The Stimulus Pack sold over a million times on the PSN alone in just one week, and broke first-day and first-week sales records.

EA and DICE just unveiled a new multiplayer mode that is heading to Battlefield Bad Company 2 "soon." It's called Onslaught Mode, and is the token co-operative gameplay mode that was curiously absent from the disc at release. Up to four players will be able to team up and play on redesigned Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay maps. No word on price or solid release date, so keep your eyes peeled.

Rockstar have announced the first of three DLC packs for Red Dead Redemption. The first is the Outlaws To The End co-op mission pack, which will be free to download, and will include six new co-op missions for 2-4 players, when it launches in June. Sony's marketing agency is kicking in for God of War III, in a new partnership with 7-Eleven and Mountain Dew. The new Kratos Fury Slurpee flavor, blackberry and lime, will be available starting next week. Naughty Dog just announced that a single-player demo for Uncharted 2 will be released next Thursday. I really hope they choose a better chunk of the game than the opening, because that stealth portion - which only happens once - puts off a lot of people.
Also, a $4.99 skin pack will be available. The pack will include two skins from each of: Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and inFamous.

Gearbox are teasing the next DLC release for last year's surprise hit, Borderlands. It will be the largest add-on of the three, and it is teased to feature more of Scooter, and confirmed to include the much-needed level cap increase. In addition to more DLC, another patch is in the works that is said to take care of a bunch of issues.
I tell you, so far these guys seem to be supporting the game in a Criterion-like manner, aside from the cost. But I don't mind paying - I love this game.

Capcom just sent word that Excella Gionne, CEO of Tricell, will be a playable character in the new Mercenaries Reunion mode of Resident Evil 5.
Also, in the second new episode, Desperate Escape, Josh Stone will be able to tackle or elbow-drop injured Majini, and Jill Valentine will be able to jump on a Majini's back and twist its neck.
This content will be available as DLC or as part of the Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition.

Compare your Borderlands trophies with someone else. You do have Borderlands, right? OK, so, tell me what you see... New trophies? Yeah, me too! Looks like some new DLC is coming our way, with three coliseums.
Now, if you played through Borderlands already, you'll remember the one coliseum part, where you fight waves of brutal enemies. It wasn't very fun (for me), but I'm down for whatever Gearbox is gonna throw at me, tough or not. Bring it!

Sony just dropped the price on 1.2-million seller, inFamous, to $39.99. That's a pretty great price for such a good game. I know Tayler doesn't like it, but I think inFamous is one of the better games to come out this year.
To top it off, the Gigawatt Blades are hitting the PlayStation Store next week for free, and the soundtrack is hitting retail stores on December 8th.

Can't get enough of Ezio? Well, the first two DLC packs for Assassin's Creed 2 have been announced. So far, we only know the names and release months. The first, Battle of Forli, releases in January 2010, and the second, Bonfire of the Vanities, in February. Each will weigh in at around 1GB, so these are definitely not unlock codes for content already on the disc. More details are sure to emerge closer to release.

In an interview with GameInformer, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford talked about some things that the team is doing with Borderlands now that the game is in the hands of fans and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
He talked about future DLC possibly revisiting areas we've already seen, such as Old Haven, as well as a potential storage locker to hoard loot in. But the juicy bits are the details about the first DLC pack.

Well, that Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut that was announced for Japan at TGS this year has been confirmed to be hitting other territories, but in the form of DLC rather than a new disc, as a result of a poll on Capcom's site. That's good, because I forgot to trade my copy in, and now I don't have to. Japan is still getting a disc, however.
No pricing was announced, but hopefully it isn't too much. Release target is Spring 2010.

You have already seen some of the trophies in your list on the PS3, and soon, on November 24th, you'll be able to earn them. The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is the first in a hopefully long line of DLC add-ons for addictive RPG-shooter Borderlands, and will pit players against Dr. Ned's creations. It'll run you $9.99, and it will likely be worth every penny, at least for those of us skipping out on our rehab.

Bethesda today announced the dates that we can expect more Fallout 3 goodness:
September 24th - Broken Steel DLC
October 1st - Operation Anchorage DLC
October 1st - The Pitt DLC
October 8th - Mothership Zeta DLC
October 8th - Point Lookout DLC
October 13th - Fallout 3 GOTY Edition
Bethesda are also working on a new patch to fix some outstanding issues with the game. Is it too early to declare Fallout 3 GOTY Edition as the 2009 Game of the Year?

At the menu screen of Batman Arkham Asylum, you should see a ticker reporting new free DLC availability next week. I have not checked in the PS3 version as of yet, but unless this is The Joker heading to the 360, I'd say it's safe to assume this will hit both platforms. The question is: what will it be?

Today, Sega announced new DLC is on the way for Valkyria Chronicles. They call this content Challenges from Team Edy. The new missions will release sometime this winter. No further information is available at this time.

Similar to Rock Band 2's $5 import of Rock Band 1 songs, Guitar Hero 5 will offer the ability for owners of Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero Smash Hits to pay a fee and then use the songs from those games in Guitar Hero 5. The difference is that you don't even need the disc - only the one-time use code from the manual. However, you need to download all of the tracks like DLC content, as they are updated with GH5-specific features. Still, it's a step in the right direction.

ZEN Studios just announced the first expansion board for ZEN Pinball, and it's a result of a partnership with Capcom. They use the characters from Street Fighter II, and they claim to have captured the look and feel of the Street Fighter brand.

The third map pack for Killzone 2, Napalm & Cordite, will be releasing tomorrow, at a price of $5.99.
And speaking of sales, Sony will be offering a bundle containing all three Killzone 2 DLC packs (Steel & Titanium, Flash & Thunder and Napalm & Cordite) for a price of $11.99. Am I ever glad I anticipated this move and waited for the bundle, because that's the same as getting one pack for free.

Yes, Europe already received their DLC for Cuboid (buggy, but now fixed). However, for all of the puzzle fans in North America that have been waiting, well, the time has come. Creat have told us that the Cuboid add-ons will be available in the PlayStation Store tomorrow.
As a side note, it seems that Smash Cars will not make the June target date, but will hopefully release sometime next month.
