16-player Third-Person Action, Shooter for the PlayStation 3.
Developed by Rockstar San Diego. Published by Rockstar Games.
Released 2010-05-18. Rated M (Mature).

I'm not a fan of the online style of GTA games so that kinda sucked, but the game itself and all the random things you can do in the wild west was awesome enough. more single player and less multiplayer would make this a perfect game in my opinion. the only part of the multiplayer I like is the quest you can do with friends co-op style. Pvp in GTA style just sucks IMO.

So, when this game arrives, should I play the story or should I jump into online or what? I realize it's going to be similar in some ways to GTA4, which I didn't like, but is there more to do? IE: in GTA4, there were tons and tons of buildings, but you could only go into a small handful of them.. it was really kinda boring, and everything was spread out for the sake of being spread out. RDR appeals right now because of the setting, a craving which comes and goes. the Amazon sale happened to fall on one of the want-waves for me, so.. Yeah.

@Dana Olson: Skip the online multi-player, at least until you've spent a good chunk of time with the single-player. Aside from the story missions, there's a bunch of great side missions that really help you explore the world. The multi-player is forgettable, for the most part.
