Just finished Singularity. I got all three endings too, of course. Great game, just a little short. Now I'll try the online some.

RE: Books...?...!(2010-07-19 02:55:17):
Anyone else read books? You know, the two pieces of cardboard with papers stuck between them with a lot of writing on them? Well, I hadn't read a book in about ten years, but then I got a Sony Reader from Sony Style using my Sony Points from making purchases with my Sony Mastercard. And now I'm like a lean (well, pudgy), mean (sometimes.. I am usually nice, though) book-reading machine (well, I am not a robot). I am reading 1984 by George Orwell now. I've seen the movie (the more recent one), but I think the book will be better. I recently finished Wilderness by Robert B. Parker, and it was excellent. I also read The Godwulf Manuscript, which was by the same author, and is the first in a lengthy series of detective novels. He's a good writer; one of my favorites. I am watching Stone Cold, a movie based on one of his books. It stars Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone, another detective. Aside from these, I like Terry Pratchett and then non-fiction books about bands that I like. So, I don't read THAT much, but figured a thread about it might be cool, to see if anyone else reads at all.

@ralphie: ralphie is 7 letters, and raphiel is also 7 letters, so it's not short for anything. And this guy says that Dana is a guy's name. Plus, he'll kick your ass. Dana White

RE: Sell PS3, or upgrade firmware?(2010-07-18 14:22:32):
I already have a 320GB drive in it, but I would pull it and put the original 40GB back in if I sold it. I want another slim because I think they're more reliable (my slim has outlasted my first fat, so this isn't exactly an educated guess, more of a .. guess), and the newer ones use even less power and have even less heat output. I probably will just keep it though, since it's a hassle to sell on eBay. Maybe I'll ask a few of my friends if they'd want to buy it, but the firmware version wouldn't be a selling point to them anyhow. An extra year, year-and-a-half warranty might make it worth it to them, though.

RE: PlayStation +(2010-07-18 02:56:18):
@Colin McFedran: you sure know a lot about trolling... :)Seriously though, other people have spelled my name wrong here. Usually it's my last name, though. But a lot of people in real life say or write my name wrong, usually it's Dane or Dan. I've seen people who thought Haze was great, usually on GameTrailers - maybe he followed a link from there (we have traffic coming in from there occasionally). And if you look on the PS Blog Share, there are Haze avatars there (though maybe that's because of the lack of selection, I dunno). As for the kid, well, I can't explain that... lol. Maybe he's 12 and he's pretending to ask for his kid? I mean, what kind of grown man is called Ralphie? You'd think he'd go by just Ralph when he became an adult..As far as spellcheck, I've seen typos in your posts, my posts, and other staffs' posts. I don't think there is a spellcheck built into every browser (not on PS3 for sure).Anyhow, he's gone now it seems, probably playing Haze again, lol. *shrugs* We'll see what happens.

Did you end up getting this game? I can't remember seeing you play it at all, and stumbled upon this post. I see it's in your collection, but how far in did you play? Did you like it? Says Silver but... You were also overly hard on Shooter, so..

RE: Chat(2010-07-27 21:50:52):
I coded this site by myself from scratch, so, I'm probably the best person to respond to this. Until I find the time and motivation to learn AJAX in-depth and start implementing it on the site (more than the scrolling review stuff on the main page), I don't see a live chat thing happening. More realistically, I could do a shoutbox type thing, however, that's basically just unspecific comments, and then I'd have to limit the characters to something like... 140... so that it doesn't cut off or take up an hour's worth of scrolling to see the latest 10, 15, 20 whatever comments.. And at that point, it's twitter (or tawkkr or something). I suppose it could tweet what you type in there, if I wanted to allow such an option... Anyhow, as I've said before, I've got ideas for additions and changes to the site. Sadly, I am lacking in time and motivation right now. My spare time working on the site is currently limited to sifting through hundreds of "news" posts from a bunch of feeds every day and picking out the things that are relevant posting news, and trying to contact publishers, trying to get our missing boxarts, trying to drum up some ideas for and participate in community discussions and events... So... Yeah. I don't remember what I was saying. Time to go post tonight's Store update!

RE: Some games to sell(2010-07-27 18:43:19):
Good price, but I already own two of those. (You can sell stuff on Tawkn if you want to, unless you are a business, then it's basically spam. Game sales/trades and whatnot, that's totally cool with me).
