In a perfect example of why I think number-based rating systems are bunk, French magazine PSM3 awarded Uncharted 2: Among Thieves a 21 out of 20 - yes, 105% - in the world-exclusive review.
I'm sure the game is great and worthy of our highest rating just based off of video, beta tester feedback, and my experience with the original. However, breaking the limits of your rating system is kinda silly. It does get a point across, however.

I'm a wee bit jaded. My rave review at top of these comments is far too similar to what Adam Sessler, I man I had much respect for, said on the subject of uncharted 2.
I feel bad hyping Demon's Souls (And I totally am, it's pathetic) when I see how uber-foolish this stuff is.
So I'll embrace it. All aboard the hype train.

MILLIONS OF YEARS OF EVOLUTION, THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF CULTURE AND SOPHISTICATION HAS FINALLY PAID OFF. THIS IS NOT ART. YOU NEED A NEW WORD FOR THE BREADTH OF EXPERIENCE THIS GAME- NAY, IT ISN'T A GAME- IT'S A WAY OF LIFE- CONVEYS. ALL OTHER GAMES THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO COME OUT AFTER UNCHARTED 2, DON'T BOTHER.
