We've managed to snag some leaked info which details some of the new features coming soon with the release of Home Beta v1.0.
With v1.0 hitting the closed beta November 20th, there's reason to assume that the Home Open Beta is just around the corner, just don't get your hopes up. We'll be sure to keep you posted.

436 @Wayne J. Rodrique: Yeah, I was glad to hear that. I couldn't understand why they hadn't had In-Game XMB in Home earlier but I guess that's because they started off with the vPSP.

@Mike Hartnett: It was nice, as a visual gimmick with SOME function, but you couldn't even have full access to messaging with that vPSP; you had to press select, select the system messaging option, and that whole song and dance. So, yeah, if they can utilize the XMB, so much the better.

What is with the age restriction? My 12 year olds won't be able to have their own apartment?
Also...Home rewards for trophies...this was a rumour but I didn't know it was confirmed...cool.
Also...scripting language is LUA...isn't that the same as WoW?...user content coming at some point?

@Kiaran: Sorry, no. We only report news; we have no business ties/relations with Sony, let alone in regard to Home.

The Home Closed Beta is going on right now and is a PS3 virtual gaming community ON THE PS3. This is info/details surrounding the release of v1.0 to closed beta users and the probability of the Open Beta (For Everyone) coming soon. The only place you'll find Home is on the PS3 itself.
Well, a replaced vPSP, eh?
